H.A.R.P Announces the 2026 Juneteenth Love in Action Rally
The Harassment & Assault Reporting Platform (H.AR.P), in partnership with the Dauphin County Bail Fund, the Harrisburg Abolition Table, and the Harrisburg Palestine Coalition, has organized its annual public rally to show love for community members incarcerated at Dauphin County Prison. The rally will take place on Juneteenth – Friday, June 19th at 5pm in front of Dauphin County Prison (DCP).
For the past 5 years, H.A.R.P and partner organizations have organized an annual Love in Action Juneteenth rally to increase awareness of the systemic issues plaguing DCP, and share community resources available to imprisoned folks, re-entrants, as well as their loved ones. More than 20 people have died at the prison since 2019 -let that fact sink in.
The rally also aims to humanize the broader perception of our incarcerated community members. People who have been incarcerated at Dauphin County Prison and loved ones of incarcerated people are encouraged to speak -as the organizers will avail time for sharing of personal experiences/counter-storytelling.
General members of the public who want to participate in the rally should arrive at the prison on Thursday, June 19th by 5pm. We look forward to seeing you at the rally, and be sure to invite a friend too! #LetsHARPaboutIt
